How the Telephone Seminars Work

• The program consists of four telephone seminars. • Each seminar lasts approximately 90 minutes to two hours. • Each seminar will cover a different topic. • After each seminar, you will be emailed information relevant to that particular topic to get you started. (For example, after the Awards seminar you will receive a list of awards with contact information.) • Each call will be limited to 5 participants on a first come, first served basis. • The day before each seminar, you will be emailed a phone number and a conference code. Call that number at the appointed time and we will get started. • At the end of each seminar, questions will be taken. • In addition to the seminar calls, each client will receive one hour of individual consulting time to be scheduled separately. This can be in the form of emails or phone calls and the hour does not need to be taken all at once. • Some seminar participants may be eligible for the To Market Kids distribution program with NewSound Kids. Contact us for details. • Once a year there is a Telephone Seminar Program plus Distribution plus Representation at Toy Fair. Writing a press release. What to send to reviewers. Which categories of reviewers to target. How to follow up. Radio airplay.


How to find a distributor. What is involved in working with a distributor. Educational vs. general consumer distribution. Increasing your sales with new outlets – retailers, catalogues, internet.

General Marketplace/Awards

What to expect in the children's music marketplace. What children’s media awards are out there. How to decide which awards to apply for. How important are awards.


Ways to market your CD. How to set your CD apart from the crowd. Trade shows – which to participate in and how to make it worthwhile. Advertising – if, when and how to do it.
